Preflight Information for Online Courses
A preflight is a quick computer check to ensure a student's computer is ready to use Adobe Connect for online courses. To complete a preflight:
1. Access Live Help during the scheduled preflight hours.
2. An operator on Live Help will give the student a link to an Adobe Connect site where the student will complete the preflight with a tech support person. The tech support person will ensure the student's audio and video are working properly and walk through the basics of Adobe Connect (how to raise their hand, activate their camera and mic, share a file or application, etc.).
3. Depending on issues that may arise, a preflight will take approximately 20 minutes to an hour. If any issues cannot be resolved during the preflight, the student may need to schedule a follow-up preflight time with Corey Quirk, the level 3 support person.
Email notifications about the preflights are sent out prior to the start of the semester to students enrolled in courses using Adobe Connect.
