The General Nursing option was developed to assist students in taking selected nursing courses prior to admission to one of the master’s specializations. Its primary purpose is to allow students to complete nursing courses that will transfer to one of the master’s specializations.
General Nursing does not allow the student to complete a degree seeking program. Students must apply and be accepted into one of the master’s specializations in order to complete requirements for the Master of Science degree.
Those students selecting the general nursing option as their major area of concentration will be assigned a nursing advisor and may take up to 24 credit hours of course work that will transfer once they have selected a nursing specialization.
These 24 credit hours are limited to the following courses.
N500 Theories and Concepts in Nursing (3 cr)
