Strategic Plan
In August of 2023, the University of North Dakota College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines embarked on a strategic planning process.
Engaging in strategic planning is a crucial step for our college, ensuring that we chart a course that aligns with our vision and objectives.
UND LEADS Core Values
Our efforts in shaping the future of the CNPD are part of the broader UND initiative. Our Steering Committee has consciously aligned our pillars with the UND LEADS Strategic Plan, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative approach within the University.
At the fall kick-off meeting on August 17, 2023, our faculty and staff from the departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work provided input and guidance for our Strategic Plan. A Steering Committee was selected from nominations representing all departments and Core Units.
In February 2024, after faculty & staff review, our external stakeholders (alumni,
students, donors, supporters, community partners, and the public) had an opportunity
to provide feedback on the Mission Statement, Pillars and associated Goals through
an online survey.
The Steering Committee used feedback from this survey to make revisions to the pillars
and goals. In March 2024, the college faculty and staff met again to review a final
draft of the document.
Implementing the Plan
CNPD Faculty & Staff in each Department and Core Units will now begin the process of selecting 1-2 pillars to focus on for the 2024-25 academic year and develop action steps for the goals associated with those pillars.
